Month one
Clean & Water-Secure Rajasthan
In a desert, cleanliness is not only about waste — it's about water too.
One place per panchayat, every month — cleaned, then revisited a year later to check whether it stayed clean. This page describes how that will work; it does not claim it has happened yet.
What we do
- Village waste-segregation points
- Johad, talab and baori desilting and recharge
- Plastic-free market conversion
- Plantation — with a named 12-month guardian for every sapling
- School and anganwadi sanitation audits

What gets counted
- Waste — removed and segregated
- Water bodies restored, with pre/post depth
- Sapling survival rate at 12 months
- Condition of every site at 6 and 12 months
What doesn't
How many people were photographed at an event.

Month one · The first action
Clean Panchayat
The first month's action, for the teams as they form: each one picks a public place, cleans it, and sets up a waste-segregation point. One named organiser, one clear purpose, a public record.
What gets counted
- Waste — removed and segregated
- Condition of the site — at 6 and 12 months
- Partners who took part
What doesn't
How many people were photographed that day — that alone is not a measure of anything.
Where we are
Starting in Bharatpur and Deeg. Open to all 41.
